I do remember having a lot of fun out there.
I’m actually pretty proud of my first trophy in IDPA. It was my first sanctioned match at the 2010 SC State IDPA Championship where I won the SSP Marksman class. Looking back at the video, I remember only the picnic table stage in great detail. The rest are quite a blur. I think it rained part of day and I remember taking a nap when one stage was backed up. I’m surprised at my stance… would love to shoot those stages again and see how my times compare.
I submitted my story to Blue Sheep Dog that year since Richard was running a contest for a BLACKHAWK! gift certificate. I won that too. Yeah, I used a SERPA and double mag pouches back in the day.
Funny how things change.
I used the gift certificate to buy Todd Jarrett videos.
